WYSP variants
On this page is list of all version of WYPS. Some of version were played on Little Golem server, some were played only tested.
Language versions
WYPS can be played in many languages. On Little Golem is WYPS played in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Greek and Slovak.

Old versions
During development of WYPS there were a several versions of WYPS. Some players favor play some of these old variants.
Original version. Game was played on board from 7 to 16. Letters of word cannot be in line. Player could turn only one opponent letter. Players shared common rack of four letters. Rack was filled with letters from pool. Player who first connect all three sides won game.
Later was added some new rules: first move was limited to three letters word, rack for larger board had 5 letters.
Full-board version. Because game on small board was very short (on board 7 it was often only 2-3 moves) some tournaments were played in full-board version. It was played as original version, but game was played until board was full. Game was played only on board 7 and 10.
Chaos version. Chaos version was played as original version, but allow change all used opponent’s stones. Game was often very chaotic.
Line version with common rack. First line version of WYPS has common rack of letters too, and rack had only 7 letters.
International versions with numbers.
There were a several versions played with numbers.
- Ascending version played as current word version, where valid numbers must be all digit in “ascending” order. For example 23489 is valid number.
- Original ascending version was played according to original rules – full-board version. Were used only digits from 1 to 8. Every stone could be turned only one time (turned digits are marked). This version was very popular and it is main international version on Little Golem.
- Prime version. All numbers must be a prime number.
- Version ELEVEN. Number is valid when sum of particular digit is multiple of eleven. There can be a lot of version with different size of board, size of rack, maximum length of digits in one number or with different aim sum.
Ultimate version
Ultimate version is version of WYPS without influence of luck. All letters from bag are on board. Length of word is limited. Limit is maximal length of used word in game increased by one. For first move is limit 3.
WYPS for children
WYPS for children is version with 28 stones. There are only 4 kinds of stones. Players have rack with four stones. Valid “word” has all stones different.
Multiplayer WYPS
This is version of WYPS for more players. Game is played with common rack of letters. Winner is player with greatest group of own stones.
Final score:
Yellow: 17, Green: 11, Red: 8, Black: 7, White: 7
For more interactivity could be used scoring where for every pair of players is scoring difference between players (for example Red give 3 points to Green): Yellow: +35, Green: +5, Red: -10, Black: -15, White: -15
