OSKI
Word game for 2 players
Oski is abstract word game for 2 players. It can be played as paper-and-pencil game.
Board.
Hexagonal board with 19 fields. Central three fields can have diferent color.
Initial move.
Random three letters word is written into marked fields on board. Created word must be valid word. For this initial move there is restriction: every letter is different (for example word TOO or EYE is not allowed).
Example: initial move MAN
MAN 0 – 0
Next moves
Next player contine in game. For every move player put one letter on board and found word with this new letter. Length of word is score for this move. Player with better score is winner. When both players have the same score, game is draw.
Example: move MAIN. Player score four points.
MAIN 4 – 0
More rules:
- Is not possible use already used words.
- Used words cannot contain a new word. For example if was played word KEYED, is not possible to play KEY or EYE.
- A new word cannot contains some used word. For example if was played word MAN, is not possible to play MANY or HUMAN.
- Initial move for three player’s game has four letters instead of three.
- If player on move is not able create word, she lost game immediately.
Game variants:
- Game can be played with 3 or 4 players. Initial move for three player’s game has four letters instead of three.
- Initial move can be played as first move. This move is not scored.
